Contemporary group honours biggest achievers at Annual Awards
Historical Gisbrough Hall in Guisborough last night played host to the Contemporary Salon Group’s Annual Awards.
The Victorian country house on the edge of the North York Moors provided the perfect surroundings for the celebration, a yearly event honouring the biggest achievers from the company’s nine salons.
The evening commenced with cocktails in the stunning conservatory space, before two Art Team members showcased their latest hair creations in a live model presentation. The Awards followed, with performance-related accolades including ‘Hairdresser of the Year’. ‘Salon of the Year’ and ‘Manager of the Year.’
After a sumptuous three-course meal, the evening was rounded off with dancing and drinks at the after party.
The biggest success of the evening was enjoyed by Amanda Day, Manager and Franchisee for two Contemporary salon locations. Darlington was named Salon of the Year for the third consecutive year, while Amanda was named both Manager of the Year AND Runner-up for her role at the Darlington and Yarm salons. Yarm also took the runner up prize for Salon of the Year.
Hairdresser of the Year was awarded to Stephen Chapman from Harrogate and Art/Style Director of the Year went to Jessica Taylor from Guisborough – both repeating their accolades from last year’s ceremony! Prizes for the top awards included cheques and bouquets of flowers.
‘The Contemporary Annual Awards are always a fantastic reminder of the hard work and dedication shown by our talented team’ says Company Director Alan Simpson. ‘2017 was an incredible year for Contemporary and it’s an absolute honour to acknowledge the individuals who really stood out. Well done to all winners – and to everyone who contributed to another successful year of professional hairdressing!’
