Contemporary Salons – which has 9 locations across the North East of England – has been named Best Salon Group at a prestigious industry event.
The company – which was founded by Managing Director Alan Simpson – took the trophy at the Salon Business Awards, a leading hairdressing publication distributed to thousands of readers all over the globe. The award is in recognition of the salon’s continued success as a group and their commitment to the highest standards of service across the business.
Held at London’s Mondrian Hotel, the evening was hosted by Publishing Editor Joanne Charlton, with guest presenters including some of hairdressing’s most respected names.
Collecting the award on behalf of the group, Alan said: ‘Winning this award is very special, especially amongst such incredible nominees. I’m very proud of what we have achieved with the Contemporary brand and honours such as this are recognition of the hard work and passion we put into the salons. I’m grateful to the wonderful team we have for their continued dedication and to our clients for their loyalty and support.’
The award continues Contemporary’s run of success. The company has recently been shortlisted for the Salon Group of the Year title at the Hair Magazine Awards, as well as the ‘I Want Her Hair’ category at the same event, which recognises the nation’s most coveted hairstyles. Results will be announced later this Summer.
And last month, Stokesley salon’s Style Director Bradley Szekeres won a hotly contested place on ghd’s Style Squad. The initiative brings together the next generation of hairdressing talent to enjoy a year of mentoring from some of the industry’s biggest names, offering priceless opportunities to work on stage and at photo shoots to master their craft.
