L’Oreal Colour Trophy 2019

award winning hair colour at Contemporary Salon in StokesleyContemporary Salon in Stokesley has secured a place at the finals of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy, hairdressing’s longest-running live competition.

Brad Szekeres, Style Director at Contemporary in Stokesley, was initially shortlisted in the first stage of the world-renowned competition, which requires entrants to submit a photograph of their work showcasing a fashion-inspired colour.

Then he competed in the North East Semi-Final in Leeds, where he was tasked with recreating his look – a muted copper bob – on a live model, before facing a panel of judges.

Brad went on to be named as one of two winners in the Colour Trophy category and will now compete against some of the best colourists in the country at the live final in London in June 2019.

‘This is brilliant news, both for Brad and for Contemporary as a whole’ says Managing Director Alan Simpson. ‘The L’Oreal Colour trophy is one of the industry’s most respected events and the standard of work is always so high. Brad is a formidable talent and we wish him the very best of luck at the Grand Final.’

The salon group is no stranger to awards success. In 2018, it was named Best Salon Group at two separate national industry events, as well as reaching the finals of the British Hairdressing Awards.
