Most appointments are either in the morning or afternoon. The time of your appointment will be confirmed when booking. As this is a training session your appointment will be longer than a normal cut and finish, and no pressure must be put on the student to be finished by a certain time.
Yes, a sensitivity test or patch test will be required 48 hours in advance of some hair colour services. We will confirm this when we book you in for your appointment.
To secure your booking we will require payment in full upfront. If you need to cancel your appointment the amount will be fully refunded as long as you give us a minimum of 96 hours notice. The cost will also be fully refunded if we cannot provide the service for any reason. If you need to cancel you will be able to do this online up to 96 hours before your appointment; however you will need to contact us for a refund. Anything after this time please email academy@contemporarysalons.com
Yes, but you will pay a reduced amount as one of our trainee hairdressers will tend to your hair needs (under close supervision from a qualified stylist). A ladies' cut & finish will cost £12 and a gent's cut & finish will cost £8. Our L'Oreal colour days are £20.

Great hair extensions transformations at Contemporary salons always start with a consultation - during which, we will assess your hair type and texture and go over the length and volume you want to achieve. We use 100% human hair extensions from Beauty Works which are available in a variety of lengths, hair colours and hair types. They can be used to add colour, thickness, length - whatever you desire!

Just ask for our colour-locking keratin treatment to be added onto your hair colouring appointment at Contemporary Salons. It only adds an extra 15 minutes to your appointment.
Yes! Our Guisborough hairdressing salon is situated at the edge of the North York Moors National Park, with Gisborough Priory, Gisborough Hall and Saint Nicholas’ Church all nearby.
Disc parking is available along the high street (which is free for 2 hours). There are also plenty of car parks near our Guisborough salon, the nearest being next to St Nicholas’ church.

Contemporary Stokesley is located in the heart of Stokesley high street, adjacent to the Market Place car park, beside the Parish Church.
The Stokesley Market Place car park provides free parking all day long, while the cobbled high street parking spaces are free for 2 hours with a parking disc. Parking discs can be obtained free of charge from our salon.
Please note that parking in Stokesley can be limited, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when the market comes to town, so we recommend setting off that little bit earlier for your appointment to allow for extra time on busier days. There is also paid parking available a short walk from the salon at the Co-operative supermarket.

Yes. Middlesbrough Leisure Park has 2 car parks. Middlesbrough Leisure Park car park has 163 Blue Spaces and 4 hours of free parking for Middlesbrough Leisure Park customers only. Further restrictions on match day apply (located adjacent to Middlesbrough Football Club).
France Street car park has 531 White Spaces. Charges apply Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm only - see below. No charge on bank holidays. Saturday and Sunday are free.
